However, for all installations we do recommend the addition of 2 standard 8 inch cinder blocks (can be purchased locally) placed evenly beneath its center. This will allow the grate to support anywhere from 100 to 1,000 pounds with no concern sagging or damage.
OFFERS GENEROUS DIMENSIONS Measuring about 24 inches wide and 66 inches long, this strong grate is about 2.5 inches thick. Its dimensions and strength allow it to support one pond and water garden feature or multiple features, depending on their sizes and weights.
ALLOWS CUTTING FOR ADAPTABILITY Although this grate is made of heavy duty PVC, it can be cut with a saw to revise it as needed. For example, sawing may be done to create a pump access door in it.
